Is it a girl or boy ? As a Ultrasound Technician you could be the one answering this or a host of other medical questions with the help of ultrasound technology. The career of a Ultrasound Technician is exciting and beautiful , because you are there through the whole growth process of one’s child. The research will describe the career of an Ultrasound Technician, what is required to become a successful Ultrasound Technician and the impact this career has on society.
In North Carolina as of 2012, there were 1770 people employed as a Ultrasound technician. In the United States as of 2012 , there were 58,800 people employed as a ultrasound technician. The projected number of people employed as a sonographer in 2022 will be 85,900, employment

Being able to answer questions and give information about what to expect during the procedure , consulting with medical professionals and independently adapting to the planned procedure , upholding quality patient care standards during and after the procedure. Operating the ultrasound equipment and analyzing the findings, physically moving or assisting the movement of the patient as necessary to ensure comfort , having a successful procedure and minimal patient exposure to high frequency sound waves. Evaluating ultrasound exam results to identify expected and unexpected outcomes , determining whether appropriate test guidelines were followed , identifying and documenting unexpected results that may indicate the need for further testing, and completing ultrasound technician worksheets that explain test the findings to the physician. There is no specific sex to be a ultrasound technician. The minimum age would depend on whenever the person gets there associate's degree. Also ,there are no work experience needed for the job and no on-the-job training needed after one is hired. As a Ultrasound Technicians you must know customer and personal service , like meeting the customer needs and quality standard for services.The skills Ultrasound Technicians have are active listening , reading comprehension , speaking ,critical and monitoring. The abilities needed to be a Ultrasound Technician are oral comprehension, ability to listen and understand information. Also, near vision, the ability to see details. As well as oral expression and written comprehension, ability to communicate information. In conclusion problem sensitivity , ability to tell when something is wrong. To be a Ultrasound Technician one will need a high school diploma or GED , a good GPA and strong SAT/ACT scores. Before becoming a Ultrasound Technician supervised clinical practice are requirements, the reasons why supervised clinical practice are required are to prepare you for the job. The key things are getting prepared for continuous, standing, walking, reaching, bending, and crouching during the shift. Also , to gain a good hearing to distinguish audible Doppler sounds ,uphold neat physical appearance, learn excellent human communication skills to put patients at
