I would be a supportive leader who will give my team direction when needed to achieve our desired goal. Based on Tuckman Model, I would spent time doing up a charter consisting of clear purpose, goals and roles with my team to ensure everyone know what they are supposed to do. I will also be hearing the voices from my team when deciding on the goals and roles. I will set realistic deadlines set for completion of task assignments.…

Building an effective team amongst teachers can be a hard task to achieve. Skuza, (2013) recommends that in order to organize an effective team first and foremost roles and responsibilities must be given to each team member. For instance, as a former retail manager I organized teams upon a certain criteria. One criteria was based upon the individual’s values and goals be that as it may pairing individuals with the same goals creates an environment where all team members are working towards a common goal. That criteria would be different per manager and the situation the team is built on.…

Several factors affecting cohesion are explored including group size, team communication, homogeneity, distinctiveness and leadership behaviours. Finally, the cohesion-performance relationship is analyzed in sport situations to conclude that there is a positive, circular relationship between the…

These strengths allow me to work well with others and I feel like they will make it easy for others in the organization to work with me because I do not try to shut them down and I do not sit back while everyone else participates. However, my weaknesses as a team player are I am very outspoken and as well as stubborn. To many that could imply that I am opinionated…

Whether you are a part of a social group or on a group project for school or work everyone has the want and need to be included, when group members don’t feel like they have fully been accepted in to the group they can become withdrawn and anti-social which would lead them to not be a contributing part of the team. Having a diverse group of people on a team can help a team more effectively and efficiently reach their common goal. If everyone on the team had the exact same life experiences, was the same age and the same culture they more than likely would have the same general way to approach the group’s common goal. Having diversity on the team can help generate more ideas because everyone’s life experiences and cultural differences have helped form the way they think and the way that they solve problems. Roles, needs and diversity affect a group’s teamwork immensely because if members aren’t performing their specific goal and only focusing on a self-centered role the groups work will either multiply for the other members of the group or the group’s common goal might not be met.…
