This major gives me the opportunity to take fascinating technical electives such as Brain Theory and Artificial Intelligence while surrounding me with diverse and equally passionate peers and faculty. Furthermore, I am excited to utilize the many abilities that I have gained through FIRST and Wonder Workshop as a dedicated member of the USC Aerial Robotics Team. Ideally, I would work with the team to develop autonomous flight capabilities. Last summer, I interned at the educational robotics startup Wonder Workshop. My main project was to create an entertaining new iOS app that kids could use to drive the company’s robot, Dash. The app I created uses Dash’s onboard sounds, lights, array of sensors, and movements to provide an engaging and exhilarating driving experience. YouTube videos spanning advice on icon design to in-app purchase optimization were an invaluable resource for completing the app. As the sole developer of Wonder Rush, I was in charge of everything from programming to marketing. Fortunately, through the stress of deadlines and bugs, YouTube was also there to help me relax with videos of water melons exploding in slow motion and goats singing along to
