Type 1 Parenting

Type 1- Parenting: At my current school we host families for parenting classes through the use of Family Academy Classes. We survey the parents on topics they would like to discuss and find the appropriate materials and personnel to lead classes in the selected topics.

Improvement of Type 1- Parenting: The area I think my current school can improve on is the use of these classes to better assist staff members to understand the families.

Type 2- Communicating: I think communication is one of the strongest types of involvement at my school. We use various means of communication such as; Remind: an application for smart phones, ConnectEd: an automated phone messaging system, Newsletters: from teachers, school and providers, Coffee Connections:
