Women who used Tylenol extensively and later in pregnancy were at the greatest risk for having a child with ADHD. This is another reason that women should not exceed the recommended dosage. Furthermore, taking too much Tylenol can increase the risk of liver failure in both mother and baby.
Even though Tylenol is considered safe for pregnant women, there are many painkillers that are not safe to use during pregnancy. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as Naproxen or Aspirin, should not be used by pregnant women.
