Twitter Hashtag was very strongly rejected by the Saudi government as introduced because it finally offered the Nationals a voice and a platform to air all social and political injustices taking place. Globally, Twitter has progressively changed the social networking world. It is as a result of the growing use of smartphones and due to the higher appreciation of social media in the modernized society. With Twitter, users have instantaneous access to the world in the palms of their hands. Overall, Twitter has a combined number of over 350 million monthly active users making it one of the most popular social networking site and it offers its users a premium means of attaining connections to the world. Twitter is top notch because an individual gets world news instantaneously as it does happen all over the world. Presently, Twitter is incorporated or embraced by same television shows into the live air programs as a means of ensuring active interactions with the viewers. Probably the most famous case of this happening was when the commissioner of the National Football League fined one of its players for tweeting during a game. An article from ESPN reported, “The NFL fined Ochocinco $25,000 for two violations – having in his possession an electronic device used to post messages on Twitter-- during the Cincinnati Bengals ' preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Aug. 20.” (ESPN). It may seem over the top and unnecessary, but it is the best example to demonstrate the fact that the world as of now is a “Twitter world.” Anything said on Twitter can be held against an individual, and this is why communication on Twitter can be good and bad.
