Trying Something New Research Paper

Everyone has tried something new, whether it be the first time they’ve went swimming, or it be the first time they’ve tried a certain food. This essay is dedicated to some of my experiences of trying something new. A few things I have tried is one, riding a lawn mower, two playing Magic, the gathering, and three, fishing.
What is one thing I have tried that is new? The answer is riding a lawn mower. One day, my dad went up to me and asked, “Would you like to learn how to use the lawn mower?” After thinking about it, I said yes. I have a ton of mistakes. I nearly ran into the shed wall. One day, my uncle came over to my house, holding some weird cards. He asked me if I wanted to learn how to play. The game looked interesting, so I said sure. At first the rules were confusing, and I had difficulty understanding the card's ability’s. After a while however, I learned how to play. It was definitely an experience I enjoyed.

The trip was long, and we brought my grandpa with us. Learning how to fish was very difficult, maybe even the most difficult thing I ever tried. My line was either stuck the bank, or my line wasn’t tight enough. Once, I actually got my line stuck in a tree! Another time, I cast my line, then went to get some itching cream. The fish nearly took off with my fishing pole! In the end, I caught 5 fish. I was very fun, and I can’t wait for my next

After arriving to Wood Middle School as I would on any other day, I walked into the bustling commons area and noticed a herd of students scattered into their separate cliques. However, what immediately caught my eye was the number of teachers and administrators who clearly looked flustered and distressed. Sure enough, there was a cluster of teachers gazing at the library’s television in utter disbelief over what would soon become known as “The Stock Market Crash of 2008”. Even though I was only in the 6th grade, I still had enough competence to realize that this was not an ordinary day in the stock market.…
