Tropical forests are found near the equator in Central America, parts Africa and Asia. They are very hot and humid and contain a huge variety of plants and animals round half of the entire world's species. Trees are mostly hardwood. “The world's largest tropical rainforests are in South America, Africa, and Southeast Asia” (Line3 TR), this explain as to why the temperature in these places tend to be humid. Tropical forest is a great place for many different species of plant to grow because of the balance climate that it has.”Tropical rainforests receive from 60 to 160 inches of precipitation that is fairly evenly distributed throughout the year”(Prg.3).The constant warmth and abundant moisture makes the tropical rainforest the proper atmosphere …show more content…
Although the top is fairly thick, it does allow sunlight to reach the forest floor , this sunlight allows plants in the other layers to grow. The second layer of plant growth includes saplings and species of trees that are naturally shorter in stature. A third layer would include shrubs. Forest herbs, such as wildflowers and berries, make up a fourth layer. During the spring, the deciduous trees leaf out, these herbs blossom and grow rapidly in order to take benefit of the sunlight. Although this is true in many cases, it isn't always true. A coniferous tree is any tree that reproduces via cones. Known as evergreen trees because the leaves of these trees remain green throughout the year and they only drop the old leaves. These trees tend to grow upwards and have a triangular shape. The long pointed needle like and flat scaled leaves. Coniferous trees do not lose their leaves annually and they are evergreen. These trees are strong and resistant to different climatic conditions.
