Trois-Rivieres is a small Quebecois city located on the St. Lawrence river in between Montreal and Quebec City. The name Trois-Rivieres means “Three Rivers” and this is because within the city there are two small islands which create three rivers leading to the St. Lawrence. I think this is the best place to live in Canada regarding the favorable climate, proportional population, breathtaking views, job opportunities and very affordable housing.

Trois-Rivieres has an average temperature of 5.2 ℃ and an annual precipitation rate of 1009 mm. It experiences four seasons with cold winters and hot summers, very similar to that of southern Ontario. This allows winter sports like skiing and skating while still being able to enjoy swimming and field sports in the summer.

Within the core of the city is a busy downtown, historic district, and park islands that brings the city to life. Architectural styles are mixed, there are the old french styles being preserved in the historic district and a modernized downtown with bright lights and busy energy. All of this ties together to make a beautiful, enjoyable city.

Trois-Rivieres is a similar city to Guelph when talking about services and career choices, they offer jobs in all sectors, especially tertiary. There are administrative, communication, and advertising services while also having many jobs in the industrial and commercial fields. If teaching is your passion, there are 4 universities/ colleges that offer music, english, and catholic classes.
