Both Triclosan (TCS, 5-chloro-2-(2,4-dichlorophenoxy)-phenol) and Triclocarban (TCC, 3-(4-chlorophenyl)-1-(3,4-dichlorophenyl) urea are widely used as an antimicrobial agent in many personal care products, including soaps, deodorants, household cleaners, dental care products, skin care creams[16]. Even textile fabricators use triclosan to protect their products from mold and bacterial growth. It is also used in kitchen utensils, toys, bedding, socks, and trash bags.
