Traveling to Louisiana to go to the golden nugget was a small family vacation type trip but condensed down to small amount of time. Being able to leave the state and return all in a matter of 7 hours doesn’t seem like a lot of fun would happen. It surprises you how much you are able to do there when you're not able to gamble.

Southwest Louisiana is characterized by extensive coastal marshland interrupted by numerous forests atop relict beach ridges, or chenier ridges, and natural ridges or levees. The cheniers of southwest Louisiana and the natural ridges of southeast Louisiana are unique geological features that are critical components of the ecology of these areas. They support a diversity of wildlife and, because of their location along important migration pathways, are especially important for Neotropical migratory songbirds. Available long term data sets reveal population declines among many migratory landbirds species over the past quarter century ().…

For two weeks, I stayed in Charleston, South Carolina. I didn’t know much about the place, except that I referred to it as an army town because that’s where my sister and her husband, who was in the military, stayed. I was reluctant to go, but Charleston had a lot to offer me; a new change of pace and some new scenery was much more satisfying than spending the two weeks stuck in Iowa doing the same old routine. The weather was mystical in Charleston.…

Christmas break in my opinion is probably the second best brake that we have throughout our school year. The main thing I like about Christmas break is how long it is. But even though I like how long we are off school it's almost like we don't have a break because basketball takes over.
