This videos reveals the some of the most intense comebacks in soccer history. It shows us how on even on the brink of failure, these teams still if not are even more motivated to give it their all to try to catch up in order to win. From personal experience, the feeling of a reward after hard work is the best feeling ever. It's one thing to win, but to win by coming back from a deficit of 1-0 or more is incredible. The part of the video was a clip of a game a couple of years ago between Arsenal and Reading, which are both English soccer teams. By the end of the first half Arsenal went down 4-0 to Reading. However by the looks and aggression given by the players on the field during the second half, it didn't matter what the score was. The Arsenal players were playing with all their heart and never did they ever let their heads fall. …show more content…
The final score was 7-4 with Arsenal coming out as winners, but more than that, they were Champions. This brings up the transcendentalism tenet of optimism which is hopefulness of a successful outcome. “Success usually comes to those who are too busy looking for it.”(Thoreau) This quote by Thoreau connects with this video because the teams fighting back to win the game are consistently working and pushing hard will all their might to produce a positive result. Thoreau is saying how one can’t just imagine dream about success, rather make it become a reality by working towards it. Just like the Arsenal soccer players, they made their goal and desire to win the match a reality by giving it their all and leaving no regrets

He as well as the people he meets adopt beliefs similar to transcendentalist philosophers Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau. In Into the Wild both philosophers and Christopher believe that a man must live and think truly independent of himself, modest and in pursuit of knowledge. They also believe a man to become self-governing must familiarize themselves with solitude ,as solitude is the only medium that provides knowledge and allows a man to become self-actualized. Despite his sudden awe at her presence, Sophie's reluctant demeanor wasn't lost on Kevin. It was discouraging, but he gave a deep breath (one he realized, too late, was probably audible) and waited as she came closer, trying not to stare too blatantly at her shapely legs as they made her skirt swish like a curtain hiding restless performers backstage. He unbuttoned the top button of his plaid flannel shirt and another breath escaped. As she explained her timid goal for the sessions, it did nothing for Kevin's discouragement, and there was even a bit of resentment in there, too. She was clearly just trying to coast by, and had no intention of paying him the attention he was giving her.…

We began to train even harder, disregarding the swelling on our knees and ankles, tasting the conviction and persistence in the training court shared by all. Meanwhile, I watched professional soccer games, read coaching books every night and observed the training of our rival team, and tried to think of a good strategy. My research drove me to play a direct counter attack style to win the games. In the final team meeting before the big game, I presented my strategy, and convinced them that every individual’s potential is indeed unlimited, especially when they focus on their goal and work together. If the whole team believed in each other and fight to the end, we could change a failure to a victory.…

    1. The field was hardly a field- grass only grew in disconnected patches and the ground was unleveled- there was no equipment, no coaches, only a group of ten-year-old boys staring directly at me. The leaders and soccer balls were nowhere to be found, yet I- the one who had not played organized soccer or more like organized bench sitting since eight grade- had to think of how I could lead a soccer practice for ninety minutes. I needed to be creative.…

Unlike your customary philosophies, transcendentalism focuses on independence and self-reliance people must have in order to reach their highest potential. Many transcendentalists, like Emerson and Thoreau, believe in individualism, idealism, and their own intuition. By mentioning “every mind should be allowed to make its own statement in action” and “consent yourself to be an organ of your highest thought”, Emerson illustrates transcendentalism to emphasize the utmost gravity for independence. For this act of nonconformity, it prompt the philosophical movement in the early eighteen hundred to achieve reformation. This suggests that Emerson assembled multiple essays on behalf of the transcendentalist club in order to spread their message.…

Based on their existing reputation and brand awareness it does not represent a surprise that a company such as Virgin Media introduced and utilized an innovative direct marketing campaign with a designated digital media strategy that was designed to reach a specific demographic and market accordingly. In addition to the use of specific technologies as a means of delivering this campaign it is also noticeable that the strategy was implemented at the most appropriate time of the year for the campaign in question. Due to the popularity of soccer within the UK market, the ability to supply premium subscription channels in High Definition through their existing products and services was viewed as a significant potential market gain. Therefore the targeting of such a demographic - male fans aged between 18 and 35 years of age - was coordinated when interest would be at its highest during the start of the season.…
