The play Romeo and Juliet By William Shakespeare shows how strong young love can be. A time period of four days for Romeo and Juliet to fall in love, then die a tragedy. What would the play be without the two personalities of young Romeo and juliet? There would be no play without them. Romeo and Juliet have personalities that control the whole play, they are the tragedy.
Romeo has certain traits that contribute towards the tragedy of the play. He has a fiery side to him(123). Romeo also shows his caring self towards Juliet(81). After Mercutio dies Romeo shows an angry part of him. he also expresses depression early in the play after Rosaline breaks his heart(23). Once she meets him she falls deep in love(73). Then Juliet's dad tells Her she must marry Paris. Juliet is so devastated that she considers suicide. She seeks the nurses advice, but the nurse tells her to marry Pari. She then becomes very angry with Her family(167). She just like Romeo does not see the point to life without true love. Then Friar Lawrence explains to Juliet his plan. He tells her that she can be with Romeo if she fakes her death. This plan makes Juliet exstatic(183). This shows how Juliet also has very extreme emotion she goes from wanting to commit suicide to she cannor wait for sunrise.
