ABSTRACT: This article tries to evaluate the method introduced by Lou de Olivier in 1997 with repercussion in Brazil, Portugal and England. The referred method consists in the use of toys, games and toys to stimulate the learning of children considered with normal development and, specially, in children who present some especially learning disturbance. This article examines the twenty years of implementation of the method, its practical results and what innovations can still be made.

Very well equipped, this space was used in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with mental deficiency. The author began to research a way to use the toy library as an aid in the treatment of learning disorders or in the teaching of the subject itself. From there, he deepened on the subject and implemented the method in clinics and schools. Between 1997 and 2003, the author published the book "My son goes bad in the school" 1997 and "The Productive School" 1999, in both they approached the theme toy library in the learning, being that in "The Productive School" proposed a new method of teaching of the more realistic mathematics that was republished in 2005 in his book "Learning and Behavior Disorders" and also published some important articles, highlighting "The normal, the problematic and the disturbance in the development of children" written in 1997 published in several periodicals of the time and published in 2000 in his book "Problems of Learning in the pre-school". All this content was released in Brazil and part of Europe, specially Portugal and England. In 2003 she wrote "The Importance of Toys for the Development of Children" which was published by the magazine "Modern Mother”, Year I, Issue II, and later on authorized sites. Between 2003 and 2006 she spoke on the subject in his region and in 2007/2008 she spoke at Biennials and Symposiums all over Brazil and also online, disseminating the method and providing the creation of many toys in schools and clinics, demonstrating the method even for the Association of Toy Libraries during the Literary Corridor in the city of São Paulo - SP - Brazil.
