A tooth abscess is an infection that is commonly caused by poor dental hygiene. If you allow plaque and bacteria to build up around your mouth, it can create a tooth abscess that can spread to your gums as well as other areas of your mouth. The site of the abscess will be filled with pus. This pus is a sign that your body is trying to fight off the infection. Therefore, a bacterial infection in this location will result in pain each time you chew, speak and more. As a result, the way to get rid of a dental abscess is by practicing proper oral hygiene. This can be done with the help of a few natural rinses.

This comes in handy when you have a tooth abscess. In order to create the rinse, add a few drops of tea tree oil to warm water and rinse your mouth with the mixture. Swish the mixture around in your mouth for a few minutes before spitting. Use this rinse in the morning and night in order to notice results.

Peppermint Rinse

Peppermint is another herb that contains antiseptic properties that ward of infection and bacteria. Peppermint mouthwash can be created using fresh peppermint or peppermint oil. If you decide to use fresh peppermint allow the herb to steep in hot water for a few minutes. If using peppermint oil you can just add a few drops of the essential oil to warm water. Once the mixture has been created you can use it to rinse out your mouth. The longer you allow it to sit in your mouth the more effective it will be.
