Tobacco use will always be a major problem in the United States but the numbers are gradually decreasing since the risks outweigh the benefits; therefore, more and more people are quitting smoking every day. The goal for tobacco usage is reduce illnesses, disabilities, and deaths related to tobacco use and secondhand smoke exposure (“Healthy People” 2015).
