Summary: I am reading To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. This summary will conclude of chapters 25-31. These chapters are very intense with Bob Ewell and his actions. Bob Ewell gets very angry and sneaks and breaks into Judge Taylor’s house. He wants to get revenge for what had happened at the court case. Taylor sees Bob but does not know who it is, so Bob gets scared, takes some food of his then leaves. Then Bob causes more trouble and follows Jem and Scout home. They think it is Cecil, because on the way to school in the morning he had surprised them. But the person following them is not Cecil, it is Bob Ewell. He jumps out at the kids and goes for Scout and Jem. Scout is safe, but Bob takes Jem. Then out of nowhere Boo Radley runs out from his own house and stabs Bob Ewell with a knife and saves Jem. Boo picks Jem up and walks away. They tell Atticus and he calls Heck Tate, the

In To Kill a Mockingbird, Scout, the main character, is a dynamic character. Scout would be considered a dynamic character because she changes extremely as the novel continues. Starting off, Scout has a lot of temper and is always so angry and violent. During school Scout got very mad at Walter Cunningham because “he made me start off on the wrong foot” (Lee 22). Scout did not realize she had too much anger, it just came to her when people made her angry. But later on in the story Atticus explains to Scout how having so much anger is not right. He said she needs to just walk away from bad situations. We can see Scout mature and learn from Atticus, because when Cecil yelled “Finch’s daddy defended niggers” (Lee 85) Scout holds in her anger and walks away. Scout knew she was far too old to fight, and that she needs to be the better person by not starting a fight. Throughout the novel as a reader we can see Scout change into a better and more mature person, which makes her a dynamic character. Jem would also have the trait of a dynamic character because he changes as the story goes
