Though Lee used a multitude of characters to showcase acts of bravery two of the most memorable acts of bravery were done by Jem, and Atticus. Though Jem was relatively young, that didn’t necessarily stop him from doing what was right, this goes for show when Atticus get’s confronted by an angry gang that had the intention to, not only kill Tom Robinson, but Atticus as well. Along with Jem, Atticus dearly cares for his loved ones and the people of Maycomb county. Due to this factor, Atticus showcases a multitude of courageous events throughout the story. One, though seemingly miniscule, act of bravery is when Atticus protects the town from the rabid dog, Tim Johnson.
