As school shooting and suicide numbers are on the rise, more kids are learning about what needs to be done in order to tell an adult. After the Sandy Hook shooting, a program called, “Say Something” was started to teach kids on how to speak up when they feel something is not right. This program has trained nearly 400,000 students in 350 schools to stay alert to warning signs and tell an adult when they see one. The “Say Something” program and many other similar programs are helping to decrease the suicide and school shooting numbers and are helping to save lives.
