Selene Goddess of the moon
Selene was the daughter of Titans Hyperion and Theia. She had two siblings, Helios and Eos, one was the god of the sun and the other goddess of dawn or daybreak. Selene was the Greek goddess of the moon, which she drove across the sky each night. Selene drove the silver moon chariot which was carried by two snow-white horses, as opposed to the golden sun chariot which was carried by four. Selene had an affair with a mortal named Endymion and gave birth to fifty daughters which are supposed the represent the fifty lunar months of the Olympiad.
