Tim Tebow Role Model

If as a school we could pick a celebrity speaker come to our school I would pick Tim Tebow. Tim Tebow would be a great speaker because he is a great role model for young teens trying to stand up for their beliefs. When Tim Tebow wore John 3:16 on his eyeblacks 92 million people googled it that day. Tim Tebow is the youngest of five children in his family. He was born August 19, 1987 in Makati City in the Philippines to his parents that were on a Baptist missionaries. Later on he was homeschooled by his mother. His beliefs have always been a huge part of his life. Many children struggle with staying in their faith as they begin their teen years. He has had many of the same temptations as many of us have. Not like many of us he stood strong in his faith and let nothing bring him down. As we all know no one is perfect. We all make mistakes and he did also, but he never strayed off from God.
In 2006 Tim Tebow received a scholarship to University of Florida to play football. His freshman year he played as the backup. The next year he became the starting quarterback and won, among other honors, the Heisman Trophy and the Davey O'Brien Award. The reason he would not break up with her is because he would not break him Christian promise with the Lord for her. He is very devoted to him beliefs and charity work.
