This makes it ideal for classes like history where you can look for patterns in history, or English class where you can analyze a character from a novel. Indirect teaching can be used in every subject if used correctly. Indirect teaching is great at improving students’ abilities to problem solve, work together, and think creatively. It also allows students to work at their own pace and arrive at a solution using their personal strengths. Although it is great in these aspects, it does have its flaws. The main flaw in this teaching style stems from the lack of teacher guidance and assistance. The style largely relies on the students to be independent thinkers and to be self guiding.
