The journey matters more than the destination in most situations because the destination does not teach one about life however the journey teaches one several lessons. In my journey’s I learned many things from the adventure that I endured rather than the destination. When I moved to the United States from Germany in sixth grade although the destination had a huge impact on my life the month leading up to my international move had some of the greatest impacts on me. When I was told that we were moving to the United States I was scared, happy, and upset all at the same time but it taught me that you have to sacrifice many things for your own happiness and your family. During the journey people gain knowledge from the experiences one endures…

After the darkness turned to light of the dazzling gold sun, my eyes squinted at the beams of brightness and confusion washed over my mind like a wave crashing violently into the shore. The enormous rock from under me made my veins run cold with the sun beating sun rays into my skin, the waves of the dark wine ocean slowly swam into the grainy sand. As I slowly sit up, the aloe green trees that hang low brush against my head and my crew and ship a.re nowhere to be seen. In a blink of an eye, the wise Athena appears next to me she is very astounded as I have awakened from my slumber. She spoke softly, “Great Odysseus, winner of the Trojan War, you have been absent from the world for ten years.”…
