Parents who take the authoritarian route are the most strict towards their children. They have very high expectations of their children and expect them to follow all rules, no questions asked. It is said to be like a dictatorship since all rules must be followed or there will be consequences. There are plenty of negative outcomes to this parenting style which are that the children tend to become aggressive, they grow up having low self-esteem, they will struggle to make their own decisions, and they will become resentful to their parents.
