Motivation
Thomas Edison was motivated to finish the work of Sir Joseph Swan to finish the electric light. When Thomas edison discovered the scorched cotton thread, it motivated him more to finish what Sir Joseph Swan started. Accomplishments/Contributions
Edison accomplished a lot in his lifetime like making the world’s incandescent light bulb, made the phonograph, Edison paved the way for electric light to be used in houses so people can see in the dark, and is also used in every store across the United States. For instance, “In poor parts of the world they are bringing light to people who have never seen an old-fashioned bulb”(Material Difference). The light bulbs are affordable to anyone throughout the world.
Another example, “Today they provide powerful illumination for buildings, streets and cars”(Material Difference). Everything that Thomas Alva Edison did had a huge impact on how we live
