Third Grade High School Essay

Third grade, a year most of us don't recall. A year too inadequate for our young brains to recollect every moment in great detail -- especially when far more memorable events exist in life. Remarkably, I remember a simple day in third grade during recess. Simpe for other, but vital for me. The playground -- a heaven for my friends and I. While at least at that time it seemed like a heaven. Miles filled of perfect green, swings, basketball courts and geodesic domes. An abundances of kids bustling all over the place. A few teachers monitoring any disturbances like a hungry lion watches his prey before dinner. The midday sun brightly glares at my eyes forcing us to keep only ⅙ of our eyes open. Surrounded by kids of all ages and enjoying a due to the hot weather i rolled up my uniform sleeves up till my elbows. ???more describing. Within the few seconds of spotting it, I stand there frozen in shock. Crippling with fear-- my body is unable to move . My brain attempts to process what is happening. On top of my blue uniform skirt, it sat there. Smooth crimson bright shell with small black dots that replicated black holes. My body finally comes to senses and unleashes a ungodly high pitched screech. It could've been heard across the playground. Without directly touching this beast. I start jumping up and down while i shuffling my skirt with anxiety choking my throat. Even adding spinning wouldn’t make the beast go away. Staying on my skirt making this a fight till the death. It didn't matter that my friends stopped the competition to ask about my unusual behavior. I don’t hear the kids laughing at me. I don’t hear my friends wondering what’s wrong. I don’t hear myself going crazy. I only hear the beast still stuck on me

While deliberating over what specific personal experience I should use for the purpose of this essay, I thought deeper about how ethical decision making plays a huge role in my life. It’s even bigger than I often realize. I do not picture myself as being one who has to go above and beyond in order to show integrity through my actions; it is simply just who I am, and how I believe all of the world should be. This viewpoint that I have on decision making in life can be shown through my actions during this previous high school rodeo state finals.…

The summer before middle school, a weird transitional time for most. This was when I went backpacking for the first time. My dad and I went to Manistee National Forest, which you can locate on your hand map a few centimeters lower than Lake Ann and covers a little more than a thumbs worth of space. I step out of my dad’s truck and everything felt right. The smell of damp earth and decaying leaves hits my nose, travels to my mouth, and creates a smile.…

It was an extremely easy choice for me when we were told to pick our topic for the senior project. I immediately decided that I wanted to focus on the injustice that the elderly have been experiencing for quite some time now concerning depression and other mental illnesses. Researching and studying the causes and effects that elderly depression can have has truly been an eye opening experience. It has been fascinating seeing why psychologists and therapists have generally been glazing over the growing problem that is elderly depression. My path for this project has been a relatively smooth one.…

This school year I enjoyed this English class because it was not very difficult, but it was not easy at all. This year we did so many assignments and some of them were analyzing poems, emulating poems, writing a theme of a poem, presenting a speech in class and then working as a group to create a chapter. I believe that I have grown throughout this school year. I have grown as a listener because back then I was not used to listening to poems without having a paper right in front of me.…
