Emily was a mean old white lady who ‘s heart had been broken in the past. Emily avoided everyone and anyone. Rule never matter and were never obliged by. Seemingly the story will give you an image of how in the early years of the 1900’s a now fat white woman is stuck in time. Ms. Emily live is a house that is rid of junk, history, hatred and odors lingering all through the city, and years to decades of build up everywhere.
Story “A Rose for Emily” was the best short story because the setting was in an old small southern town, perhaps trying to remain relevant with the current time with modernizations in the works. Emily Rose was depressed and had gained weight due to her sweetheart deserting her, and due to the lost of her father (Kirszner & Mandell, 2012). Slowly walking form the kitchen in a dark, dusty home, Emily would just say the same thing over and over, the same way she spoke to the officials who came to her home. Sadly no one figured out that she had Alzheimer’s, and therefore the behavior issues would continue. Emily passed the town began to develop and grow. The old black man finally died with no family to show for his funeral. Respectfully the town came together and buried him right next to his friend Ms. Emily. The mayor felt a big weight off him when Ms. Emily passed being that she was an elder to him and man other officials, the morals and values were never going to allow them to dis respect her no matter what. People were comfortable with saying it was bittersweet that Ms. Emily passed away. The town sour eye was now destroyed, and a fresh rose is always placed on her head stone, out of respect form the town folk who quietly adored the bitter old white women. The newer generation went on to become the backbone of the town, with proud parents standing by. Town was able to collectively advance, rest in peace Ms. Emily
