Conversion is a theme that is in both the Gospel of Mark and in The Human Experience. Conversion could be defined as change in beliefs, character, form, or function.
In the Gospel of Mark, the theme of conversion is shown throughout the entire story. For instance, when Jesus announced that “the Kingdom of God is coming”, Jesus could particularly be announcing to the people that conversion is coming. And in The Human Experience, conversion is shown after each of their experiences in the documentary. Each time after each of their experience, their beliefs change. For example, in the first experience, after Jeffery and his brother Clifford lived and talked with homeless people for one week and their beliefs about homeless people changed. Even though the children had severe medical issues they were still joyful just because they are living life. The third experience also shows some instances of joy. When the group of four featuring the two brothers, Michael Campo, and Matthew Sanchez, traveled to Ghana, Africa to visit a leper colony. They meet victims of leprosy and their families, the victims still show joy because they are living life still, they think of life as a gift. Although joy is shown in the Gospel of Mark, it is mainly talked about the joy of God.
