1. The Greek word apolutrósis being understand as redemption it means a release affected by payment of ransom. Redemption is used twenty times through out the Bible. The general English translation of the word redemption is the action of saving or being saved from sin, error, or evil. In the book, Interpreter’s Dictionary of the Bible, the word redemption states a legal prove in which offers biblical writers with a central image of God’s salvation towards mankind (pg. 21). In the Old Testament the statement redeem, redeemer, and redemption is used to translate copied Hebrews words. When something was redeemed it took place, in the form of an action, meaning the first owner with some payment retrieved or regains a person that was in bondage.
