Anthony Dares to Vote,” the author shows us that the theme is courage. In the beginning, Susan was very sure of what she thought and stood up for it. She didn’t really make others believe it that well though. In the middle, Susan had made groups of people that are fighting for women’s rights to vote, and now, she has increased chances of getting the right to vote, along with all other women. In the end, Susan dies. Even though she was never able to see women with the right to vote, she still made a big impact in the US, and partly because of her, women now have the right to vote, and also the rights to do many more things that women would not have the right to do if it wasn’t for her. This all shows that the theme is courage because, in the story, she had to stick up for what she wanted, and had to have a lot of courage to do that. Also, throughout the story, it’s easy to see that she gathered more courage because she makes groups of women and sticks up for women’s rights more and more and more throughout the story, showing how much courage she is
