Jane 's uncle gave her his inheritance, allowing her to be wealthy. This is important because women weren 't wealthy or just given money to like Jane was. Women being wealthy was not common and look down upon according to people who are against females. Not only should women have been able to be wealthy, but they should be able to have true love also. Another reason the novel is feminist is because women actually could love their spouse. For instance, Rochester wanted to marry Jane Jane wasn 't ready so she said no and he was confused on why she didn 't just say yes. Eventually she said yes. Basically, Jane eventually knew she really loved him and married him. This shows that Jane married who she really loved and didn’t marry, just because he asked.
