The airplane has affected the world all throughout history. Throughout history, before the Wright brothers, man had dreamed of flying through the skies like a bird. Man had attempted many times with the same general idea. They believed that if they could gather enough feathers and keep them together, that they would be able to soar through the sky. Even though many had failed and some had died, man was still determined. They believed they could get it to work. And that is where the Wright brothers start. They were living in Dayton Ohio. They were not the richest of families. There father Milton Wright was a bishop in the Church of the United Brethren in Christ. They had a strong faith. They also both grew up with a strong interest in science. The two were born four years apart but they were inseparable all throughout their lives. They both complimented each other with their habits. Orville Wright, the younger one, was full of ideas and enthusiasm. Wilbur Wright, the older one, more steady in his habits, more mature in his judgements, and more likely to see a project through. While in high school, Wilbur Wright intended to go to Yale to study a clergyman. This however was stopped in its tracks when he picked up a facial injury in hockey. He dropped out of school but continued his education through reading books at his dad’s library. In their early years, they started helping their father edit his paper called the religious telescope. This lead to the brothers’ first job. They began their own paper called the West side news. They went into business together as printers, printing anything from religious handouts to fliers.
