Although, some may argue that it is not the University's job to hire entertainers the only obligation the University has is to educate the student athletes. While it may be imperative that Universities provide an education they are exploiting the athletes when it comes to money. The University generates plenty of money especially from their student athletes entertainment. While the NCAA cut a new deal with CBS for TV rights fees to air exclusive broadcasts all NCAA men's basketball tournament games. That contract is worth $6.2 billion and has been extended to the year 2013(Greenlee). Possible the most biased argument simply fails due to the fact that the only side that is being benefited is the University.
