The Three Pigs David Wiesner Analysis

The three little pig's tale has been an all-time classic that has been told throughout countless years. The tale can be classified as a fable, “a short story that usually concerns animals and intended to teach a lesson". This story has an effective moral that all ages can learn from. Although this story has different interpretations and various versions of the tale, the overall lesson has always been the same. Regardless, I believe that the overall moral of the story is that time and effort will always pay off. The story teaches children and readers that being hasty to get a job done isn't the best solution. However, taking the time and effort to complete different tasks will always have a satisfying result. All the hard work you put into completing the task will pay off. As we all know this short story has captivated the interest of its audience by incorporating animals. This classic story starts off with the first pig building his house with straws. The second pig constructs his house with sticks. Both pigs reassure themselves by saying the big bad wolf can't get them. The wolf doesn't end up eating the pigs. Although he blows their house down, all three pigs run away and find themselves in a new world. They are stuck and are trying to find their way back to their proper world. In one story a cat follows them and also a dragon who brings along a gold rose. Once they put together the right pictures in their proper order, the dragon and cat accompany the pigs. When they get to their proper world they are in the third pig's house.
