Good morning, my name is Mani, and my topic for this English IOP is Theme Of Freedom.
The theme freedom in Persepolis is expressed throughout the graphic novel Persepolis, by Marjane Satrapi.

The utmost speciality of the novel Persepolis is of it being written in a graphical format. first of all, what is a graphical novel you guys must be wondering, A Graphic novels are books that combine both text and illustration, the pictures are arranged in panels while the text can be in speech bubbles for dialogues or in a textbox for narration.It provides the reader the interpretation of both the author and the artist.

Now I would like to a give a short intro about Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi

Persepolis . It is an abbreviated history of Iran from its first occupation by Indo-European nomads, to the establishment of the Persian Empire, to the 1979 Islamic revolution.
It's 1980 in Iran, and Marjane Satrapi isn't rocking out to Michael Jackson or watching Dallas; she's being forced to wear a veil at her school, which is now segregated. The …show more content…
For example, there is political liberty, economic liberty, national liberty, civil liberty, and natural liberty. Civil liberty is more related to the concept of freedom than any other liberty. The concept of freedom can be divided into many subcategories, and people can use the term of freedom for various purposes. Today, the meaning of freedom is changed as it is now considered as an eternal right of any human. We have to respect the dignity of other humans by practicing our legal as well as the ethical right of being free. Freedom can be defined in several ways: Internal freedom, self-freedom, external freedom, political freedom, spiritual freedom, and collective freedom. Throughout history various cultures and civilisations have had many different concepts of freedom, and even within our own tradition, the meaning has never ceased to
