As the sun rose up in the East, it would have illuminated the birth of Athena the newborn Goddess of justice. To the West, the contest of Athena and Poseidon, her victory which earned her the namesake of the city. Cecrops, the first king of Athens, trying to find the patron deity of the city, asking ΑΘΉΝΑ and Poseidon to a contest. ΑΘΉΝΑ won Cecrops’ heart over, as she stepped forward while striking her spear in the ground, where she then planted an olive tree, as a symbolisation of peace and prosperity on Earth and for her city. The symbol of Athena can be found throughout history and all over her city, as the people of Athena loved their gift, due to its profound qualities. A gift that not only was granted to Athens, but to the whole of the Mediterranean and the Middle East, in honour of
