The swimmer
"The Swimmer" is a short story composed by John Cheever, an American creator. The story has a mix of surrealism and authenticity and investigates rural America. The connection amongst bliss and riches is likewise investigated in the story. In the story, the creator has broadly utilized imagery and myth. "The Swimmer" is a tale about a man who swims every open and private pool he goes over on his eighth mile travel home. The story is most likely set in Westchester County, a rural in New York City, since the creator once lived there. Westchester is found north of New York City and is one of the wealthiest districts in America.

The swimming pools that Neddy needs to swim through on his way home speak to the expressions/adventures of time that he needs to go through in his life. Neddy starts his adventure and he is prepared on taking the test of "swimming the region." "Swimming the province" symbolize the expressions that he needs to experience his life.As he starts the trip he feels like an "amazing figure," this is an image of bravery and confidence. Neddy has a high supposition of himself and an unassuming and a dubious thought of himself as an amazing figure. He feels as if he can finish everything. The adjustments in season and climate symbolize the mind-set, disposition and feelings of Neddy. "Storm mists" symbolize the difficulties and issues that Neddy experiences on his way home. As Neddy advances with his adventure home, storm mists methodologies and he hears thunder. As he is protecting himself from the tempest, he understands that the winds have blown the "yellow and red clears out." Neddy is "powerless and tired" when he achieves home. Being
