The Struggle Inside The Wall Street Journal Analysis

David Leonhardt in the February 14, 2017, New York Time’s editorial “The Struggle Inside The Wall Street Journal,” expresses his opinion on how the Wall Street Journal’s newsroom is in a fight over the paper’s direction because of 1) disagreement over the paper’s direction, 2) issues and dissatisfaction for the paper and 3) criticism of the paper and agreeing with it. According to Leonhardt, many staff members believe that the paper’s top editor, Gerard Baker, is trying to “Murdoch-ize” the paper by changing the paper to his own likings that don't agree with the other staff members and readers. Also, by telling of a “systematic issue” with the dissatisfaction going public for the paper. Finally, Leonhardt, being a long time reader of the Journal
