There is no specific cause of World War I but everything started to fall when Austria’s Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated in Sarajevo on 28th June 1914. After the assassination of the Archduke, there're many other events that led WW1. Such as the alliances between major European countries. After the assassination, Austria-Hungary threatened war on Serbia. British and German forces first fought at the Battle of Mons in Belgium which was the first battle of many in the Western Front. The war started with particular aspects which are Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism and Nationalism.
