The Similarities Between Eunice And Coach Bieste

Decent Essays
For the role of Eunice, I chose Coach Bieste from “Glee.” One of the main similarities I see between the two is that they both take the physical abuse from their significant others. In one scene, Steve and Eunice get into an argument and Stanley abuses her. After Steve realizes what he did, he begs for forgiveness from Eunice and she just forgives him just like that, despite the pain he had caused her. In Coach Bieste’s situation, she is in an abusive relationship and yet she decides not to let anyone know about it, She keeps it to herself and yet she still loves her husband. However, in the end Coach Bieste does end up leaving her husband unlike Eunice. For the role of Steve, I did not choose an actual person but I chose a Jock from one

Henrietta Leavitt was played by Katie Piper, Margaret Leavitt was played by Sarah Lambert, Peter Shaw was played by Morgan Gates, Annie Cannon was played by Julia Whalen, and Williamina Fleming was played by Beth Ryan. All of the actors were convincing of the roles they played, and I didn’t dislike any of the actors. Having to choose one favorite actor or character from this play is very difficult, but my favorite actor would be Ms. Ryan, who played the character Williamina Fleming. She was my favorite actor because she portrayed her character the best and she was convincing of her part in the play. I liked that she had a very comical part in the play too.…

Both Elie and Gerda, have significient differences, but also similiarities. Whether there were more differences than similiarities or vise versa, it is still clear that both suffered hugely. I decided to go with “The Basket Case” character, Allsion Reynolds from the movie, though not as verbal as the other characters her role amongst her peers is significant within the structure of the group. Initial impressions suggest that she may be out of touch with reality as demonstrated by some of her behavior such as the lack of her responses toward her peers though she is obviously very attentive to what is going on around her. Such behaviors as using her dandruff to simulate a snow fall and the concoction that she created as a sandwich by throwing away the meat and then adding Pixie sticks and Captain Crunch cereal to her sandwich suggest a different mentation than one would have expected. As the character developed in the movie it appears…

My first character is Rupert Andersen played by Gene Hackman. He is the lead inspector in a missing persons turned murder investigation in the deep south of Mississippi. He plays a very powerful and passionate character and is seen as somewhat of an outsider even though he is very familiar with the area and the people. In his ways he is the one man that you want on a case such as this, the kind of agent that would walk the fine line of the law and lawless to be able to solve the case.…

I wanted to incorporate Popular Culture as an Introduction to the broad topic that is Microaggressions. I decided I wanted to focus on the Television show Glee, because of the various identities and sexualities portrayed. I chose Blaine because something I don’t think is talked about enough is the idea of who can play characters with LGBTQ+ Identities. There are many variations to this long acronym. I will be looking at this acronym as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer + identities that do not necessarily fall within these categories.…

The story I chose for the movie is “Cathedral” by Raymond Carver. It’s a very interesting and simple story that change the perspective of a narrator of how he can see beyond the surface, and the inner self. The writer uses a first-person narrator to emphasize the hidden aspects of the story that are beyond human experience which the narrator relates too. For the cast, the role of un-named narrator would play by my uncle. My aunt will play the role of un-named narrator’s wife.…

“Oi, Malfoy, you seen this?” Ethan Goldstein, a boy in the year above, asked, shoving a piece of parchment into Scorpius’s face. Scorpius took it as politely as he could and saw that it was the prefect patrol list for that year. Professor Mayweather, the headmistress, had allocated the prefect position to Scorpius, which, inevitably, caused some uproar. What most students didn’t know was that Professor Mayweather had literally offered the position to every other Slytherin boy there was, but they all turned it down.…

The goal of this concept is to take Anton Chekov’s, The Bear and make it more relevant to the struggles within today’s society. By changing Grigory Smirnov into a gender non-conforming woman, it therefore shifts the central conflict from Smirnov vs. Elena Popova to Popova vs. herself. While the tension between Smirnov and Popova still exists, the focus settles on the internal struggle of Popova as she begins to not only question her sexuality but who she is as an individual. Her attraction to Smirnov throws a wrench into everything she holds to be true about herself: her sexuality, her fidelity to her husband, and her sense of privilege. As gay marriage has become legalized and the rights of the LGBTQ community have come into focus, the idea of questioning one’s identity in regards to sexuality and gender is more and more common.…
