President George W. Bush states that “Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America. These acts shatter steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve.”(9/11) Even though the attack of 9/11 devastated America, we came back stronger and safer. Pearl Harbor was also a horrible attack which affected the military base near Honolulu. Pearl Harbor and 9/11 shared many similarities, including their causes of the attacks, devastation in America, and effects on the world.
