Unit 7 Morgan, a peaceful explorer and newly employed young woman, was not expecting to have trouble at all that morning. In fact, it had been one of those mornings that seemed to point toward a fulfilling and bright day, and trouble seemed incongruous with the sun, birds, and cloudless sky. There was just nothing that Morgan could imagine that would ruin the promising start she was getting today. That day she had planned on hiking out in the mountains, seeking to have a quiet day to herself. She was excited to observe the nature and have a private picnic with no one else around her but simply the elements.…
As the princess gestured to the right to show the man which door to choose, she was thinking about the lady that was in the door and about the tiger that was in the other. The Love Song, With Two Goldfish relates to the Great Gatsby because the first poem is about two goldfish making love in a fish bowl amd the Great Gatsby has two people falling in love. The poem relates because it says about how love changes us as people and why do we fall in love and when people break our hearts how lonely we feel and that we tend to want to be by ourselves. I think Gatsby loved Daisy but she was into another man, so she had it great for a little while…
“Where are you?” Ginny asked the empty air for the tiger-shaped pendant. When Jennifer Shapiro became Ginny St. Claire, the pendant, the memory, was the only thing she carried between the lives. Holding on to the pendant was the only time she felt like she was pretending to be Ginny. “Ugggghhh.”…
I chose the constellation Draco for the reason that I just love dragons, as well as the myth behind the specific dragon that the constellation represents. That dragon is called Ladon, and he was a more serpent like dragon, with multiple heads, although stories disagree about how many exactly. The constellation is located in the northern sky, and is a circumpolar constellation, meaning it never sets below the horizon for many observers in the north. Hercules defeated Ladon on a quest to retrieve a golden apple from the tree Ladon guarded in the garden of the Hesperiedes.…
Her soul had been shrouded in darkness for so long. Freya was cursed. Each night she transformed into a creature of darkness and murdered the innocent. Living this cursed, half-life was torture, and Freya longed for escape. As she sat in a pile of filthy hay, chained in a rolling cage, she hoped her captor would do her a favor and kill her.…
As the youth opend the door, he was thinking," I hope I did the right thing to trust her,". As he continued to open the door, we look back at what the book said. " How her soul burned in agony when she had seen him rush to meat that woman,".(page 18) She sounds jelous to me. I also think about this statment and how it sounds.…
The eagle The eagle,or acquila, was mounted on the top of the Roman Legions’ standard. Above the eagle, A gold bar bore the message SPQR (Senatus Populus Romanus), “The Senate and People of Rome” While the primary function of the eagle was symbolic (representing not only the legion, but the Roman empire as well). It served as a beacon for troops in battle, helping to orient them. In the chaos of battle, troops would often look for the standard to orient their actions, often following commands to not move further than a few steps from it.…

When the king became aware of this he sent the young man to jail and set a date for his trial. On the day of trial the princess learned purposely about the doors and knew where the woman would stand. She also inquired about the lady behind the door and learned that she was a suspicious lady who used to have some apparently simple exchanges with her fiancée. As the boyfriend entered the scene with his eyes set on the princess, she subtlety pointed her fingers to the door on the right. The narrator wants to know who is behind this door, the lady or the tiger; given that the princess had spent so many painful nights weighing on her option before the…
There was once a time in ancient Rome when a rich man lived. He lived with anything that he could wish for. Servants, huge amounts of land, the finest foods, all of it. But he was not a kind man.…
The words “she had to do that” show that they believed that her actions were beyond her control. She had no ability to react in any other manner than she did because of the situation she was thrust in. There was nothing crazy about her wanting to stay close to the only man she received love…
In the short story, the princess chose the tiger over the lady due to her barbarism and jealousy. First of all, the princess was said to be just as semi-barbaric as her father. The evidence is shown in the quote, “This semi-barbaric king had a daughter… with a soul as fervent and imperious as his own.” (Frank R. Stockton 3). Her nature was just like her father’s who came up with the obviously fair justice administration, where watching a tiger kill a human is entertaining.…
