The Roles Of Race, Ethnicity, Ideology

Improved Essays
Race, Ethnicity, Ideology, are responsible for starting more arguments and creating more hatred than any other words in human history. Despite these simple words defining who we are and our different cultures, they also illuminate our many differences as a human race. My class this week has been discussing the roles race, and ethnicity have on media, and how media portrays different ideologies throughout our society. Currently, America is experiencing heightened racial tension, due to the rise of controversial police treatment of young African-American males. Now it is more important than ever to look at how the media portrays different ethnic groups, and to ensure we are not creating false stereotypes that are harmful to a whole group of people.
