And once again Hamlet shows signs of being insane due to the appearance of the ghost. At this point it is very questionable to the reader if the ghost is just Hamlets conscious, especially since he is the only one who is able to see it. The ghost gives readers an escape for Hamlet and a reasoning of why the suppose to be “hero”, is not portraying those qualities.
It is fair to say that the apparition plays a major role in the play Hamlet. If the apparition was not here to advise Hamlet and act as his conscious throughout the play it could be fair to spectate that the plot would not have played out the same. If Hamlet never received the information that was provided by the apparition then Hamlet would have never had to mission to seek vengeance and the play Hamlet very well could not have ended as a tragedy.
