(AGG) Almost everything has some sort of symbol with a hidden meaning; Christianity has a cross, representing Jesus, countries have flags, representing patriotism, and Griffindor has it’s crest, representing courage. (BS-1) In the novel Under The Persimmon Tree by Suzanne Fisher Staples, stars are used to symbolize hope in family for one character, Najmah. (BS-2) Stars are similarly used to represent faith in family for another character, Nusrat. (BS-3) When Najmah and Nusrat are together, however, stars are used to represent their peace with the family they’ve lost.
