Christian agrees that Mary is the mother of the Jesus Christ. They agree to the idea of the miraculous conception. They agree that thru Mary the savior of the word was born. However, the notion of worshiping or praying to Mary is not acceptable in the Christian faith. In fact, worshiping Mary is regarded as a form of idolatry and categorically reject by the protestant faith. Christian believe that only God deserve to be worship by all. It is irony to think that the protestant movement comes right out to the Catholic church, using the same bible, believe in the same Savior, but each of them have their own belief system creating a separation that can never be repaired. The protestant uses the Bible to make a case to why it is wrong to worship or pray to Mary. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1). Based on this passage of the bible Protestant agues that God has no mother or father. God created Mary and therefore cannot be God’s Mother, as the Catholic Church wants to make it believed.
