It’s time to start looking into visiting the Pyrenees. Today is the day to start booking and getting reservations for your next family vacation. Imagine going on family hikes through the most beautiful mountains and learning about the geology in Europe. Think about your kids getting a better knowledge about Europe. Dream about walking through the perfect tiny little villages and seeing all the different types of people. The Pyrenees was the mountain range that the Tour De France features. The Spain region is made up of six French departments and six Spanish provinces (The Pyrenees pg. 1). The chain is about about 270 miles from the Bay of Biscay. The chains maximum width is about 80 miles. The central section is the highest of the three main ranges. The tallest peak in Spain is the Pico de Aneto. There are many other peaks in both Spain and France. Some of these peaks in Spain are Pic de Vignemale and Monte Perdido. One of the peaks in France is the Pic du Midi dÓssau.
