Egyptian society was structured like a pyramid. Their leaders were believed to be gods in human form. These people were called the pharaohs and they had absolute power over the civilisation. Protection was at the top of the list of the pharaohs job and the pharaoh was the director of the army. The army was made up of soldiers they fought in the wars and in times of peace they supervised the peasants and slaves. Right below the pharaoh in status were the government officials. Priests were responsible for pleasing the gods. The Nobles held the government states and the Viziers supervised the collection of taxes.
