Crime has always been an issue for the Windy City. Over the past decades, crime has only been going up making the poeple feel more and more unsafe. "In the 1850's, Roger Plant was the first to become chief of his criminal underworld" (Wikipedia). Mr. Plant would end up blowing up the criminal scene. The city of Chicago at the time only had less then 10 marshalls and no police force. Having few taking order really made it it easy for crime to get that jumpstart allowing it to become as popular as it is now. …show more content…
Its no secret that people do end up having trouble finding job oppertunities. "Forty-sever percent of 20- to 24-year-old black men in Chicago, and 44 percent in Illinois, were out of school and out of work in 2014, compared with 20 percent of Hispanic men and 10 percent of white men in the same group" (Chicago Tribune- Youth Unenployment, Jonathan Allen). When there is a large majority of people that are having trouble getting not a job but going to school as well then there is little room for luxury.
