One of the requirements for a person to be a participant in the study was that they had an active Instagram account. Unfortunately, the researchers do not define what they deem as an active account. This caused two participants to be excluded from the results because they only had two posts on their Instagram accounts (Barry et al., 2015, p. 5). “Instagram was selected for its relative popularity and the relative ease with which photos can be observed and coded” (Barry et al., 2015, p.10).
